This coming weekend, Saturday the 20th of February Valley City Hockey will be hosting our first annual Viper Hockey Memorial Day.  All 8 teams affiliated with Valley City Hockey will be playing a game in Valley City at the hockey arena in the Youth Sports Complex at 940 Central Ave North.

This event was created as a way to remember and honor some of the individuals who have helped build Valley City Hockey and bring it to where it is today as well as showcase all of our athletes and facilities on one day in Valley City.

 There will be a free will lunch provided throughout the day as well as some prizes given out to the players.  The proceeds from this day will be kept to help the youth of the Valley City Hockey program to be given out in scholarships, equipment, and supplies that will help the athletes in our program. 

The schedule for the day starts at 8:15am with the Valley City Mites taking on Mandan White followed by Valley City Squirts taking on Mandan at 9:45am.  The JVC Pee Wee B Black team will take on Mandan White at 11:30 followed by the JVC Bantam B team vs. Mandan at 1:15.  The 3:00 game will feature the JVC Pee Wee Green team taking on Mandan, to be followed by the Valley City Termites vs. Jamestown Termites at 4:45.  At 6:00 the JVC Pee Wee A will take on Mandan followed by the final game of the day the JVC Bantam A vs. Mandan at 7:45.  Unfortunately we weren’t able to schedule in the High School Girls or Boys game but the Girls will be playing Williston in Jamestown at 3:00 and the Boys will be at the West Regional in Minot.

We want to make this an annual event and your support during the day will help.     

Valley City hockey encourages everyone to attend and spend the day at the rink enjoying all the various levels of Hockey we have to offer.
